Dusan Simic
Dušan Simić, 1994. He graduated elementary music school Božidar Trudić in
Smederevska Palanka. He finishes elementary music school at the piano department, after which
he enrolls in the "Mokranjac" secondary music school in Belgrade, in department of music
theory. As a student of the generation, he graduated from secondary music school and in 2013
entered the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, department in Music Theory. During his studies, he
participated in the 3rd international student competition of complementary piano in Niš in 2015.
winning the third prize on the festival "Isidor Bajić" in the competition on the occasion of the
second second place. In addition to the competition, he participated in class concerts at the
Student Cultural Center, the Artget gallery and the National Library. He finished his studies in
2017 and obtained the professional title of Graduate Theoretician of Art. After his basic studies,
he enrolled in a master's degree at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, which he will complete in
2019 with the topic of Complex Formal Models in the Spanish Suite Op. 33 by Vlastimir
Trajković. During her studies, she showed an exceptional interest in the study of music of the
twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
In 2017, he released his didactic game for children: Fresh Melody at the pedagogical forum and participated in a group project presenting for children: We are all a little Beethoven. In 2017, he was selected as one of the best 50 students of the competition from Serbia at the European Center in Belgrade.
In 2018, at the annual meeting of students of music theory, he presented his work from the 4th year of undergraduate studies on the theme of Form of a suite in one movement, using the example of the Duet for piano and orchestra by Vlastimir Trajković.
In 2019, he participated in the workshop of Professor Nico Schuler from Texas, America, called Computer-Assisted Music Analysis.
In the school year 2019/2020, he starts working as a teacher of harmony and counterpoint in the music school "Mihajlo Vukdragović" from Šabac, and in the next school year 2020/2021, where he is a teacher of harmony, counterpoint in the music school ,,Mokranjac’’ where is currently employed.
He has been a part-time pianist at the Zira Hotel since 2015. Since 2018, he has been a pianist and accompanist for the play Vrapčić Puls Theater from Lazarevac. In 2021, he enrolled in the Master's degree in Music Direction at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Marko Stojanović. In 2017, Jean Valjean recorded an album with the band as a keyboardist in the band.
He is the co-author of the music for the short film 3 Towers by Frank Kallenberg of the kallenberg.art production company.
In 2022, together with the double bass player Aleksandar Miljković, he wrote a concerto for the double bass Trio Olivera.
