Djuro Tikvica

He collaborates with many conductors as Ivo Drazinic, A. Nanut, Anthony rangeland Ivo Lipanovic, Juliet Maric, Igor Gjadrov. number of performances Djuro made in Croatia, to the nature his remarkable recitals abroad (Moscow, Graz, Salzburg and elsewhere). In addition to intensive concert activities , D. Tikvica is for a long time teaching at the Academy of Music Zagreb. Many of his performances were recorded for radio, television and record companies in Croatia.

Djuro Tikvica born in 1963. in Dubrovnik, began to study music in school “Josip Slavic” in Zagreb, and continued in Moscow, first under Boris Romanova, and then, as one of the best students 118th generation, in the prestigious class of Tatiana Nikolayev at the Conservatory “P.I.Tchaikovski”. Although the youthful concerts of th Djuro Tikvica attracted attention audiences and critics, he become a fully mature artist and finally affirmed with brilliant solo recital held in 1984, as part of the world’s known Dubrovnik Festival. Since then he began his continuous cooperation with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, with particular success playing L. van Beethoven piano concertos, and S. Rachmaninoff.

He was awarded “Orlando” in Dubrovnik Summer Festival 1995.
